Thank you to those of you who participated in Tuesday’s briefing webinar on “Active Transportation for America,” Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's (RTC) groundbreaking report that quantifies, for the first time, the benefits our nation would see with increased walking and biking. The conversation was very informative and gave participants the tools they will need to understand the report and field media questions on its conclusions and methodology. As discussed during Tuesday’s webinar, RTC will release “Active Transportation for America” this coming Monday, Oct. 20, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Rep. James Oberstar (D-Minn.), Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will receive the report on behalf of Congress, and voice his support for our aims.
