rails to trails conservancy

Dear Campaign Advocate,

As promised in a recent e-mail, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) has prepared a two-page analysis of the prospects and challenges that the active transportation (trails, walking and bicycling) movement faces in the upcoming 112th U.S. Congress. The document analyzes the threats and opportunities we must manage to continue moving toward a trail-, walking- and bicycling-friendly America.

Read the analysis now.

Additionally, thanks to all of you who widely distributed the "last call" for our AAA petition! By the time the petition closed on the night of December 8, more than 51,000 people from around the country—including more than 33,000 AAA members—had signed the petition!

On Monday, December 13, RTC President Keith Laughlin, accompanied by RTC staff, representatives from local groups and dozens of cyclists, delivered the signatures to AAA headquarters in Heathrow, Fla.

Read more about the AAA petition and delivery—including photos and media coverage.

Sincerely,

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy
