rails to trails conservancy

Dear Campaign Advocate,

Two free webinars on upcoming federal grant initiatives this week may be of interest to you:

1) Sustainable Communities Grant Program: Wed., June 30, 3 to 5 p.m. EST

Learn about grant programs intended to incorporate equity into housing, transportation and jobs: the $100 million HUD-DOT-EPA Sustainable Communities Regional Planning grants and the $75 million HUD-DOT Challenge grants.

Speakers will include Maria Zimmerman, deputy director, HUD Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities; Kalima Rose, director, PolicyLink Center for Infrastructure Equity; and Vu Bang Nguyen, land use coordinator, Urban Habitat.

Register for this webinar now.

2) TIGER II Planning Grants, HUD Community Challenge Grants: Thurs., July 1, 2 to 4 p.m. EST

As you may recall, following our e-mail notifying you about the initial TIGER grants, three Campaign for Active Transportation communities received a total of nearly $50 million for active transportation projects. We hope you will capitalize on this opportunity to learn more about—and apply for—TIGER II funds. In case you missed it, read more about TIGER II from our April e-mail.

There are very few registration spaces remaining for this webinar. If you see a note that registration is closed, please e-mail Kartik Sribarra at kartik@railstotrails.org by 3:30 p.m. EST tomorrow, Wed., June 30, indicating your desire to participate. These last-minute registrations will be allowed in an "overflow room" where participants can view and listen, but not ask questions.

For more information, see the webinar description.

Sincerely,

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy
